Excellence. Tradition. Different. That’s what you’ll find at Maya Yoga. From the moment you set eyes on the art deco building, to rolling out your mat on the new studio floors, you feel the energy of the freshly updated aesthetic. It’s been a privilege to learn and practice in this spiritual space and appreciate the invitation to be a part of this particular cohort. I’ve enjoyed observing how fellow TTs have bloomed over these past 9 months and await to see where they take their training.

All of the teachers at Maya are simply put – FABULOUS MENTORS! Each have their own flair, area of expertise and unique set of talents revealed over the duration of the program. As a systems person, I gravitated towards the Ashtangis (Jesse, John, Kyra, and Lainie), but the Vinyasa and Yin instruction was amazing, too. Being a former college athlete, I was thrilled with the balance this multi-discipline has brought not only to current lifestyle, but the other club and recreational hobbies I enjoy at this stage in life. Golf, pickleball, and 5ks will never look the same!

Must give a shout out to special guides Kelli and Aleyois. Coming from a ‘yoga for athletes’ perspective prior to taking this leap, you all provided extra care students welcome as they step outside of their comfort zones on this journey.

Beyond grateful for your styles, patience, and presence. Thank you ALL for the opportunity to study and train in this extension of other cultures and to gain valuable insights about this side of the health and wellness industry. Excited to see where Sciara takes the future of the studio.
