I have witnessed how dedicated my teachers are to the accurate transmission of an authentic yoga practice-as students themselves, always delivering the leading edge of what they have learned, over decades of study under world class yoga luminaries such as Laruga, Kino Macgregor, and Sharath Jois.

Thier passion for yoga, as a discipline of self actualization, creates a tantalizing atmosphere of “anything is possible”, and certainly miracles of healing have taken place in my own yoga journey.

Jesse, Emily and Kyra have won my loyalty and I feel honored to be receiving the best of what they know. I have total confidence that the quality of knowledge and instruction that they have to offer is unsurpassed in the Midwest.

The curriculum at Maya is comprehensive and covers the entire scope of the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga, including pranayama and a deep dive into the yoga sutras of Patanjali. Everything from the sanskrit pronunciation of asanas to the opening and closing chant is discussed. Cues and asanas are thoroughly broken down and explained. We discuss the business and ethics of yoga. Class size is small and intimate, there is lots of laughter and plenty of one-on-one attention from the teachers. I have made amazing connections with my fellow students in the teacher training program, it’s so fun to go hang out with them at the coffee shop during our breaks!

I am beyond grateful for the teacher training program offered at Maya yoga.
